Crime in Diepsloot has been covered by major news outlets and various media over the past few years. They all share a common view about a looming disaster if the situation is not brought under control. We are sitting on a time bomb which will soon explode and shrapnel will spill over into the comfy and leafy suburbs of Johannesburg if it is not deactivated. Diepsloot is not alone in this hall of shame but just one area amongst hundreds of such cases across South Africa. Majority of South Africans are oblivious to the daily terrible fear experienced by residents of Diepsloot when the sun goes down and when the sun comes up.

Delivery trucks and courier vehicles have security escorts when they enter and deliver products in Jukulyn near Soshanguve in Pretoria. Bakeries, Furniture shops, on-line e-commerce companies and other similar businesses are compelled by the dangerous circumstances prevailing in Jukulyn to hire additional armed escorts for their deliveries. This could be happening hundreds of kilometres away from you but certainty is that this will be “showing shortly” in a community around you irrespective of the LSM group your community falls under. This is how failed states are “introduced” and unleashed in this world – they are not introduced with balloons and trumpets.

Izinkabi is now a commonly accepted profession and an innovative way of earning a living in South Africa in general and in Kwa-Zulu Natal in particular. Izinkabi brag amongst themselves about how many people they have killed in their killing sprees. Business disputes, political disputes, entertainment and music industry disputes, family disputes, social disputes, education and academic disputes, taxi disputes and religious disputes are now settled through the use of Izinkabi and other criminal networks. Some are even franchising this criminal activity creating vast intertwined Crime Empires. SOUTH AFRICA FIRST in its ground-breaking policy strategy of employing 50 000 people (no funding from treasury) in the fight against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, CRIME and CORRUPTION will endeavour to absorb as much as it can of Izinkabi and occupy their hands and time with meaningful and honest living. Like other patriotic South Africans they would also be considered for opportunities within the Immigration Enforcement Force, IEF and be deployed in clearing places such as Hillbrow, Sunnyside, Rosettenville, Quigney, Kempton Park and Point in Durban.
